Questions for Cindy Sherman

While seeing her retrospective at the SF MoMA:

Do you have indistinct memories of the faces you see?
In your photos, are you hiding or revealing?
Do you feel really normal or really strange?
Do you do your own makeup?
When did you tire of being a woman?
Is the world of appearance false?
Is there a world of appearance? If so, how?
Sometime your eyes seem to look at what the character you are playing sees, sometimes at us, as if to see what we see–why is that?
Why did you start making eye contact with us in the ’90s?
What is/are the soundtrack(s) to the “Untitled Film Stills”?
Do you realize that your society women portraits of the ’10s are more repellant than the vomit cupcakes of the ’80s? Can you help me make sense of that?
